The structural foundation of the association: Administration. Administrative roles at Viscenda are no joke, they function almost like second jobs. The responsibility can feel intimidating, but for many, it becomes the confidence boost they need. In every administrative position, you will either develop or actively apply essential leadership qualities.
Roles in This Category:
President…
It’s a big title… and an even bigger responsibility.
The President oversees the entire administrative department and serves as both the first and final voice in all major decisions
This role demands the ability to
make complex financial
judgments, ensure that members fulfill their responsibilities, and confidently present Viscenda to external partners.
A President must understand every task within the association and how each member is equipped to execute it. They must make fair and informed decisions about workload distribution, balancing what is necessary with what is realistic.
The role requires taking calculated risks, navigating uncertainty, and guiding the organization with clarity and purpose.
In many ways, the President functions like the CEO of a company: bold in vision, strategic in action, and empathetic in leadership. It’s a position that blends authority with responsibility, and ambition with emotional intelligence.
What does this role do?
The Vice President supports the President with selected tasks, but their most important responsibility is stepping in whenever the President becomes unable to perform their duties. Whether due to illness, absence, or other circumstances. In these moments, the Vice President represents the President’s interests and ensures continuity in leadership.
The Vice President must stay fully informed about everything happening within the association and maintain a clear overview at all times. It’s an unpredictable role: there may be months with almost no administrative tasks, followed by periods where the phone never stops ringing, emails pile up, and the responsibility becomes significantly heavier.
